My Background

Hello, I'm Tabby, the owner of OnPointe Photography. I have a background in both photography, education, and a small-town upbringing, and I believe this gives me a unique perspective on the art of photography. I studied photography at the University of Michigan and I have honed my skills in traditional and contemporary photography techniques.

I have always been drawn to capturing the beauty and emotion in every moment, and as an educator I also have passion to guide and mentor my clients throughout the photography process. I like to listen and understand my client's unique needs and preferences, to make sure that their experience with me is personalized and enjoyable.

Growing up in a small rural town in Oklahoma, I have developed a deep appreciation for the beauty and simplicity of everyday life. I put all this in my work and make sure to capture genuine moments that create timeless memories. About Us

Our Beginning!

Onpointe Photography was created by me, Tabby, during my senior year of high school. I noticed that many low-income students in my school were unable to afford professional photographs, and I wanted to change that. As an amateur photographer, I began taking family and event photos for free on a non-profit basis.I started the company as an unofficial non-profit, and while I was still in high school, I was able to help many families who otherwise would not have been able to afford professional photography services. My passion for photography and my desire to help others is what drove me to start Onpointe Photography.

The name Onpointe Photography is a reference to my first photo shoot, which was of my best friend and fellow dancer, where I captured her ballet photos. The shoot was so successful, and the final images were so perfect, that I realized that I had an eye for capturing the perfect moment. The name Onpointe refers to the perfect point in ballet and dance when the dancer's body is in perfect alignment and conveying grace and poise, and that is what I aim to achieve with my photography.Onpointe Photography may have started as an amateur and non-profit enterprise, but it has grown into a professional business over the years, but it still holds true to its roots of providing accessible photography services and helping to create memories for those who may not have otherwise been able to afford them.
